The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new privacy regulation that will take effect on May 25th, 2018. GDPR focuses on the personal data of individuals, specifically individuals residing in any EU member state. It updates existing – and introduces new – regulations relating to the collection and processing of the personal data of any individual residing in any EU member state. And it doesn’t only apply to businesses and organizations with a physical presence in any EU member state. Businesses and organizations throughout the world will need to be compliant with the GDPR if they collect and process the personal data of any individuals residing in the EU.

How does Predictive Response enable our customers to be GDPR compliant?
Predictive Response will launch features to help our clients comply with the GDPR regulations by May 25, 2018. The feature additions support the key GDPR requirements of consent and data subject rights.
Consent
With the new GDPR regulations, companies need to ensure that they have explicit consent from EU individuals to market to them. The compliant method for obtaining consent is by use of a double opt-in. Double opt-in means that individuals need to confirm their email address before receiving any email communications from a company.
Predictive Response offers several solutions to help our clients with double opt-in implementation.

Predictive Response will provide HTML code which can be placed into a client’s double opt-in form, through whichever platform they prefer.

GDPR Preferences:
Beyond the initial double opt-in request Predictive Response offers a GDPR Preference Center in which requests can be made for other settings such as:
- Opting out – stop receiving communications
- Opting in – begin receiving communications
- Do not track – stops tracking browsing history
- Forget me – removes a consumer’s personal data
Consent Tracking:
When a GDPR preference has been changed, a time stamp, originating URL, preference detail, and unique tracking ID is automatically recorded in the ‘GDPR Preference History’ section within the contact or lead level record in Salesforce.
A quick summary of the opt-in and opt-out status of a contact or lead sits within the ‘contact detail’ or ‘lead detail’ section of a record in Salesforce.
Reporting:
Predictive Response will provide access to tailored GDPR reports so you can keep track of contact and lead GDPR preferences.
Data Access:
If EU consumers request a copy of their data, Predictive Response will process this at our client’s request through a support ticket.
