{"id":3305,"date":"2015-05-09T04:01:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-09T04:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/139.59.23.56\/predictive3\/?page_id=3305"},"modified":"2019-07-24T20:12:34","modified_gmt":"2019-07-24T20:12:34","slug":"setup-sender-policy-framework-spf","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/?page_id=3305","title":{"rendered":"Improve Email Deliverability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>New clients may choose to do nothing and your emails will be sent from our default &#8220;predictiveresponse.net&#8221; email address.<\/p>\n<p>Existing clients who have chosen to send from their own domain should review their domain&#8217;s health via <a href=\"https:\/\/mxtoolbox.com\/domain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MX Toolbox<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to send your email using your own domain name then please setup the domain records as instructed below.\u00a0<strong style=\"color: #333333;\">Without these records in place, your mail will likely be labeled as &#8220;spoofing&#8221;, &#8220;spam&#8221; or &#8220;junk&#8221; in your recipients&#8217; inboxes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5350\" src=\"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divider.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"541\" height=\"111\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>SPF Setup<\/h2>\n<p><a title=\"Support Ticket\" href=\"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/?page_id=1050\">YOU MUST\u00a0submit a support ticket<\/a> once your SPF records are setup so that we can align our email servers correctly.<\/p>\n<p>The SPF record to be used if you are sending emails from Predictive Response is one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you already have a SPF record in place, add this:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>include:spf.predictiveresponse.net ~all<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you do not have a SPF record in place, add this:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>v=spf1 include:spf.predictiveresponse.net ~all<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Enter the appropriate statement as a TXT record in your DNS records. It could be your primary top level domain or a sub domain that sends a lot of email.<\/li>\n<li>Generate your record using the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dmarcguide.globalcyberalliance.org\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DMARC Guide,<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>through<strong><strong style=\"color: #333333; background-color: #ffffff;\">\u00a0Global Cyber Alliance<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Work with your server administrator to add your DMARC record to DNS.<\/li>\n<li>Start receiving DMARC reports about your domain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>If you need help with the above steps, we have established a quick service ($300 one-time fee) to make sure your\u00a0SPF and\u00a0DMARC records are setup correctly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5350\" src=\"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divider.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"536\" height=\"110\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">DKIM<\/h2>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">DKIM is not required by our clients as we have taken care of this setup on our servers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5350\" src=\"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divider.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"555\" height=\"114\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Setup your return-path\/bounce email address<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Send yourself a\u00a0test email from a Predictive email campaign.<\/li>\n<li>Locate your organizations\u00a0return-path address the email header or message details. An example is shown in the screenshot below:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4989\" src=\"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/EmailHeader.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"834\" height=\"470\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Create an email account on your own email server with the format <strong>return-path@yourdomain.com<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Alias your new return-path\u00a0address to <strong>&lt;shortname&gt;@predictiveresponse.net <\/strong>(the same address identified in step 2). This will forward your bounces to Predictive, so we can accurately process and update bounce information in\u00a0Salesforce.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/help.predictiveresponse.com\/?page_id=1050\">Submit a support ticket<\/a> with the name of your new return-path address.
